We're looking for a casual receptionist to join the awesome team at the Todd Energy Aquatic Centre. If you're someone who enjoys helping others and being part of a fun, community-focused space, this could be the perfect fit.

You'll need to be flexible with your availability, as shifts can fall anywhere between 5:15am and 7:30pm. If you're friendly, reliable, and keen to be part of a great team, we'd love to hear from you. Key responsibilities - Ng haepapa matua: Promoting first point of contact resolution for customers with sales, enquiries, payments or complaints Receiving and responding to all general enquiries and complaints Cash handling duties Providing customer services to a vast array of internal and external stakeholders Actively ensuring that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation Essential skills and experience - Ng pkenga me ng wheako You'll be the first point of contact for our customers, so being welcoming, helpful, and customer-focused is key - whether you're dealing with the public or supporting our internal team.

Ideally, you'll have some experience in customer service, including handling cash and balancing tills - but don't worry if you haven't, as full training will be provided. To thrive in this role, you'll need the following: Top-notch communication and people skills Great time management and the ability to juggle tasks in a busy environment Confidence using Microsoft Office A proactive attitude and the ability to think on your feet What we offer - Ng ratonga At New Plymouth District Council, we aim to create and sustain a truly rewarding workplace environment for our staff.
